Shourotei is the quintessential Japanese ryokan, complete with everything you could ever hope for in a stay in Japan. First off, the property is spacious and shares a peninsula with Chionji Temple (temple of wisdom), both of which overlook Amanohashidate, one of Japan's Three Scenic Views. The inn was built in the spirit of the traditional Japanese tea houses, and has an impeccable architectural design. The details of the building are amazing. There are the tree bark roofs, the guest rooms with private tea spaces, natural hot springs, Japanese gardens integrated into every view, and even wooden phones. The stay is a glimpse into another world, with hospitality refined to perfection.
